“ Since my return from the UK, 10 years ago, I have been operating on patients younger than me, patients in their 30’s and 40’s. These people are luckier than those young patients who don’t have enough time left to make it to the operation table “

In my Experience in Cardiac Surgery for last 20 years I am seeing that more and more young patients are having debilitating coronary artery disease leading many a times to Sudden Cardiac Death. That is why we have started the campaign SAVE THE YOUNG HEART to increase awareness and give tools for prevention and give evidence based treatment advice for patients who need Coronary intervention

After completing MBBS from Osmania Medical college in 1994, I went to UK finished FRCS (General Surgery) from Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons , Glasgow in 1999 after which I returned to India and did Mch (Cardiothoracic Surgery) from Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences Hyderabad 2000- 2002.After completing MCh I worked at the renowned Escorts Heart Institute New Delhi for a year and a half before going back to UK IN 2004.

In UK I got the opportunity to work at the famous Kings College Hospital London and the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford. At Oxford I got the opportunity to work with Famous Cardiac Surgeons, Prof. Stephen Westaby and Prof. David Taggart . While working at Oxford I could complete the intercollegiate Specialist Board Exam(FRCS Cardiothoracic) and returned to India and have been working at Narayana Hrudayala Hospitals which is now Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital.

I specialize in Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Complicated Valvular Heart Surgery and Minimal Access Cardiac Surgery. I have done more than 5000 Cardiac Surgeries till date. I am a avid believer in Evidence based approach to Clinical Medicine in General and Cardiac Surgery in particular.
