Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine, developed on the Indian sub-continent, that relies on a natural and holistic path to improved mental and physical health and vitality. Here, we will look into some of these Ayurvedic principles in more detail.  These principles will give you in-depth information into the preventive measures espoused by Ayurvedic medicine, and offer tips and techniques to improve existing conditions.

Ayurveda states that a human body has a complex network of spinning energy vortices that are invisible to the human eye. These vortices are called chakras. Chakras are the energy centers that absorb energy from the infinite cosmos. They give vitality to the body so that the body can work efficiently and remain alive and healthy. There are seven major chakras or energy bodies in the human body, each of which rotates at a particular speed.

The chakras are related to the mind, different endocrine glands, the nervous system, and other different organs in the body. Due to various reasons, if chakras become imbalanced, then the changes to the chakras will be reflected on the:

  • Nervous system
  • Endocrine glands
  • Body organs

All the chakras are related and intertwined with each other. If one chakra is out of balance, then slowly, the other chakras also start getting out of their normal rhythm.  This imbalance manifests in the form of various types of illnesses of the body and mind.

Efficient methods to keep the body chakras in harmony:

The best way to balance and heal chakras is to avoid stress and anxiety. Life is not about achieving the present-day goals because the desires are endless. Life is a journey and a series of experiences that are given to increase our wisdom.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is how an individual faces the challenges of the day. The following tips will help you to heal your chakras:

1. Love

Love is the key to all doors. If love is present, there will not be any room for anger, hatred, jealousy, and greed.

Love gives the energy to face and accept everything in life.

2. Gratitude

Gratitude wipes away the feelings of restlessness and dissatisfaction.

Contentment gives rise to happiness and peace.

Love and gratitude are the highest vibrations in the universe. They open up all the chakras. So be aware of all the gifts in your life, and be thankful for them.

3. Prayer and meditation

Prayer and meditation channel the energies and focus them in a positive direction.

Daily life challenges catch most people off-guard and can disturb their minds, causing increased stress. These challenges, and the resulting stress that they create, can affect the chakras and reduce the balanced flow of energy.

Meditation keeps one in the much-needed state of awareness, helping them to face daily challenges. Negative emotions like anger, hatred, jealousy, desire, and greed not only affect the people you interact with but also leave their slow poison in your own body. Sincere prayer and meditation reduce the intensity of these negative thoughts.

4. Our senses

Food habits

The unhealthy lifestyle and destruction of the environment have led to exponential rises in diseases and ill health. Artificial sugar, preservatives, colors, and various food additives will cause a disturbance in the energies.

Fresh raw veggies, fresh fruits, soaked nuts, and sprouts help in balancing the body’s energies.

Vision

Positive, encouraging programs, comedies, and divine serials will increase the body’s energies.

Horror movies, adrenalin rush movies, and sad movies strain the mind and lead to energy or chakras imbalances.

Listening

Soft music or devotional melodies enhance and purify our vibrations, whereas gossip, loud noises, and loud music cause disturbance in the energy flow of the body.

Laughter as a tonic

A few good laughs every day rejuvenate the body and mind and increase the oxygenation of blood. It improves general circulation, heart condition, and immunity. Therefore, laughter releases stress from the body.

These are pearls of wisdom from time-tested ancient philosophy concerning the harmonization of energies. Following this advice will lead to the stabilization of the chakras, with the end result a balanced, healthy, and happy life.
